Circular hiking trail Forst (Lusatia)

The starting point of the hike is the parking lot on Ringstraße in close proximity to the East German Rose Garden. From here, follow the path with the Oder Neiße Cycle Path to the district of Groß Bademeusel. The asphalt path initially leads, lined by an oak avenue, parallel along the mill ditch to the mill weir.
From now on, the Neiße river is an accompanying feature. After a forest section called "Heidchen" (2 km), you can visit the ecological nursery in the district of Keune. Following the circular route, we reach the nature reserve "Hispe" (3.5 km). It is a riparian forest biotope formed by an old arm of the Neiße river. At the junction to Groß Bademeusel (5.8 km), we leave the cycle path and enter the district.

The path initially runs 500 m parallel to the federal road towards Forst, then crosses it. Now, an extensive forest area accompanies the way. The path is mostly unpaved, and its shared use as a bridle path can be particularly challenging during dry periods, turning the "sand track" into a difficult trail.
Near the highway, the path intersects the Keune-Schacksdorf cycle path (11 km) and continues until the end of the forest (12 km).

From here, the view extends from the highway to the Domsdorf dairy farm, across the designated industrial area to the Wahreichen of Forst (Lausitz). The paved path crosses Domsdorfer Straße, leads along the tree-lined avenue "Keunscher Kirchweg," passes by Hotel Rosenstadt, and continues to Spremberger Straße. Here, the Malxe river accompanies us to the Teichstraße parking lot, the starting point of the circular route "Euloer Teiche and Jamnoer Teiche" (yellow dot).

A few meters after the Malxe bridge (16.4 km), the path continues towards Mulknitz, Bohrau, and Briesnig. At the Sängerbank (18.8 km), located in an idyllic spot by the Umflutergraben, you have the option to continue the path through the "Euloer Bruch" nature reserve to Mulknitz. This route offers charming views of the Mulknitz ponds. From the Mulknitz parking lot (12.4 km), the path leads through a trail between forest and meadow landscapes towards the post-mining landscape. It continues to the northern junction towards Bohrau.

From here, an unpaved path leads to Briesnig, crosses the Malxe canal (26 km), and follows the signs to Neißedamm (27.4 km). Here, the path joins once again with the Oder-Neiße Cycle Path towards the East German Rose Garden Forst (Lausitz).
