The 3 km long nature trail is located in the middle of the Rauener Mountains and is a circular hiking trail.
From Kolpiner Straße in Bad Saarow, walk straight ahead for about 2 km on the main hiking trail until you see the signposting for the nature trail (green markings).
The information boards describe typical tree species and refer to the interesting mining history.
For example, you will cross the former tunnel exit for lignite extraction.
The trail does not pass by the Rauner Steine, but a detour is possible.
If you start at Kolpiner Straße, it's about 7 km round trip.
