More possibilities. The "M" list can be extended further and further on this tour through the nature conservation chambers. Together, they form the roof of a huge open-air museum.

At the starting point in Bad Wurzach, you walk through a museum-like backdrop of baroque splendor such as the castle or - at the top of the Gottesberg - the Chapel of the Holy Cross. From there, you have a magnificent view of the landscape, for which a master builder made a special contribution in prehistoric times: the Rhine glacier, which has silted up here and whose ice masses have shaped the local basin. In doing so, it created the basis for a natural phenomenon: The Wurzacher Ried, the largest contiguous, intact raised bog in Central Europe. Immersing yourself there is an experience. With a bit of luck, you can discover corncrakes, sky goats and the blue moor frog, but you can also learn a lot about the history of the moor. This is explained in the interactive MOOR Extrem exhibition at the Wurzacher Ried Nature Conservation Center. The history of the landscape spans the 61-kilometre route like a great arc, with many special chapters of the cultural history of the natural treasure troves opening up in historical places such as Bad Waldsee and Wolfegg. For example, in the farmhouse museum in Wolfegg, which shows the life of farmers in earlier times. Their work helped shape the image of the Allgäu. With many open views of the Alpine chain, you cycle sometimes through hilly, sometimes through flat greenery, through rocky woodland, past wet meadows, forests and moors. In short, through one big open-air museum!
