From heart to heart - cycle route through Versmold and HalleWestfalen

After starting at the Bockhorst hiking car park, you will discover the idyllic half-timbered ensemble with a Romanesque church in the heart of Bockhorst. Be sure not to miss the Meyer-Hermann estate and the Bockhorster Kotten with its bakery. You almost feel as if you can smell the scent of freshly baked bread.
From here, the route leads you in a southeastern direction, passing by the asparagus farm Lange. You will then pass the colorful mill and arrive at the nostalgic Hörste with its charming village church. The tour continues past Tatenhausen Water Castle to the church square in HalleWestfalen, also known as the "Haller Herz". The church ring development around St. John's Church consists of charming half-timbered houses from the 16th to the 19th century. After a relaxing break, the tour takes you through the old farming community of Hesseln. It is hard to believe that the steam locomotive of the Haller Willem once chugged through here.
The current trains of the railway line reactivated since 2000 now glide almost silently over the tracks. The path now leads you through a forest and along a stately avenue halfway around Holtfeld Water Castle. Treat yourself to a view of the magnificent facade in the Weser Renaissance style and then cycle past Lütken Mill through the Bockhorst village center back to the starting point.
