Castle path with cross connection Fountain path | Circular hiking trail SHS

This hiking trail mainly leads through the Holter Wald. Starting from the hunting lodge in Schloß Holte, it is about 3 km along the forest path following the signs for the Schlossweg, until you turn left onto the Brunnenweg. This path connects the northern and southern tangents of the Schlossweg. Therefore, follow the Brunnenweg for a few hundred meters, before returning to the Schlossweg towards Schloß Holte. Back on your original path, you will quickly reach the Mühlcafé on the edge of the forest in Verl with its quaint terrace by the mill wheel. The hiking trail then continues for another 3 km along the banks of the natural Ölbach stream, passing through sometimes dense, sometimes loosely overgrown forest and meadows, back to the hunting lodge Holte, where the Holter Schlosskrug also invites you to linger.
