The route leads through a very mixed cultural landscape with horse farms, farms, and still some cereal fields. The attempt to wrest grain from the barren soil here earned the region the name "Oat Spain."
The Oat Spain Route is one of three hikes that open up the new castle views for you. Selected by the Sauerländischer Gebirgsverein, the routes promise varied hours in the Homburger Ländchen.
