The Ibergloipe starts above the northern parking lot and leads over the Schwarzewald and Spitzigen Berg to Schweinbraten.

Description

At Spitzigen Berg, you have a wonderful view of the southern Harz Foreland. After a steeper descent, you reach Schweinebraten-Köthe and walk left around Jägerstieg back to Taternplatz. Here, about halfway, there is a wonderful view of the mountain town Bad Grund.

From Schweinebraten, you reach the "Spinne" via a connecting trail. From the Spinne, there is also a hiking trail to the Iberger Albert Tower (with a restaurant - closed on Fridays). At the Spinne, there is also the entry point for the Hasenbergloipe from Wildemann. Above that, you can also access the Brombergloipe above Seesen, which leads to Sternplatz.

The Ibergloipe is one of the four trails between Bad Grund, Wildemann, and Seesen with a total network of 27.8 km. The starting point for the four cross-country skiing trails of medium difficulty is Taternplatz (about 15 minutes from the Seesen motorway exit), located exactly between Bad Grund and Wildemann on the Harzhochstraße. The trails are located at an altitude between 450 and 597 m. To the west is the Kreuzberg-Loipe in two different lengths, the Iberg-Loipe connects the Kreuzberg-Loipe with the Hasenberg-Loipe in a northern direction.

This trail is a certified DSV Premium Trail.
Together with municipalities in the western Harz and the districts of Goslar and Osterode am Harz, the Safety in Skiing Foundation (SIS) and the German Ski Association (DSV) have worked in recent years for a qualitative development of the trail network in the Harz region. The trails have been certified as DSV nordic aktiv centers according to international criteria, signposted with a uniform system, and equipped with information boards
