The route starts at the Museum B.C. Koekkoek-Haus, where one of Joseph Beuys' first museum exhibitions took place in 1961. In the Museum Kurhaus Kleve, just one kilometer away, Beuys had a studio that has been reconstructed and is publicly accessible. In Kranenburg, we reach the former home of art collectors Hans and Franz Joseph van der Grinten and the Museum Katharinenhof, where works by Beuys are on display. In the Kranenburg cemetery, you will also find the family tomb created by Joseph Beuys for the van der Grinten family. The return to Kleve, partially through the forest, involves slight inclines. In Kleve, a detour to Schwanenburg is worth it, as its history repeatedly inspired the artist. We pass by the Cupido column, which was the starting point for his work "Tram Stop," created for the Biennale in 1976. In Bedburg-Hau, we reach the Museum Schloss Moyland with the van der Grinten collection and the Beuys Archive. We return to the starting point on well-developed cycle paths.
