Espelkamp - Frotheimer Schnitzeltour

At the Hotel im Loh, Restaurant Albersmeyer in the Frotheim district of Espelkamp, where there are delicious schnitzels or schnitzel variations, a bike tour begins through a magnificent landscape, a moor, old half-timbered houses, and modern farms.
Heading north towards the small local museum "Brammeyers Scheune", there you can admire old half-timbered houses and a thatched roof.
Passing former sand pits and the old Stellerrieger School, you reach one of the most valuable low moors in North Rhine-Westphalia, the "Alte Frotheimer Moor". During a short break, you can experience a concert of tree frogs, common toads, lapwings, snipes, and native songbirds.
Continue your journey, passing by modern wind turbines and briefly stopping at a wildlife enclosure, before heading west along Osterheider Straße towards the Frotheim landmark of the old Frotheimer Klus.
From the opposite village square, you can admire the half-timbered structure of the 200-year-old chapel.
The last kilometer back to the starting point is a former footpath that was once used by children and teachers to hold religious classes in the Klus.
