With snowshoes, you set off from the Bayerisch Eisenstein hiking park in the direction of Schwellhäusl. On the way, the Hans-Watzlik-Hain primeval forest area with the largest fir tree in the Bavarian Forest and other huge old trees is fascinating. The Schwellhäusl offers Bavarian-Bohemian cuisine and is idyllically situated on the Schmalzbachschwelle. The trail leads over the Hochbergsattel and through wild national park forests back to Bayerisch Eisenstein.
