On this leisurely tour in the Klosterfilz and Großer Filz raised bog complex, we walk partly on boardwalks through bogs and forest. We follow in the footsteps of the adder, which is native to this area. We continue along the Große Ohe to the Filz forest, which looks very different to most national park forests. Bog pines defy the acidic, nutrient-poor soil.
