Directions: The tour starts at S-Bahnhof Birkenwerder, leads through Summt and Zühlsdorf into the Barnim Land to the municipality of Wandlitz. You pass by Rahmer See and reach the old town center of Wandlitz. The church tower points the way and you pass by Barnim Panorama. Here, the history of Barnim from the ice-age wilderness to modern cultural landscape is told. Show gardens and a discovery path with a tree house invite you to explore actively. In summer temperatures, a detour to Strandbad Wanditzsee is also worth it. Heading towards Liepnitzsee, you pass through romantic beech forests towards Bernau near Berlin. Every year on the 2nd weekend of June, the spectacular Hussitenfest takes place here. In the city center, museums provide a lot of information on the historical city history, gastronomy, and other exciting activities. At the S-Bahnhof of Bernau, there is the possibility of getting on or off the tour. For those who continue, the route leads to Börnicke - a small town with historical buildings and a special charm - into the Barnim Feldmark towards Werneuchen. A vast landscape of fields and meadows surrounds it, rural idyll and peace characterize the further tour through Wegendorf, Wesendahl, and Wilkendorf towards Strausberg. A varied tour ends at the S-Bahnhof in Strausberg.
