Some of the most beautiful natural sites in the region can be visited along the approx. 70 km long nature experience route. Highlights of the route include the Massenei forest area, the Hochstein area between Rammenau and Ohorn, the Schwedenstein in Steina with its viewing tower, which offers a magnificent 360-degree view of western Upper Lusatia, the mountainous and wooded surroundings of Elstra and the Butterberg with its viewing tower in Bischofswerda. A visit to the Bischofswerda animal and culture park or one of the region's outdoor pools rounds off the nature experience.
Premium stops along the route include the Massenei swimming pool in Großröhrsdorf, the Butterberg in Bischofswerda, the Hausteinsee lake with diving school and the Schwedenstein in Steina as well as the Black Mountain Bikepark on the Schwarzenberg in Elstra.
