From Bautzen to Eulowitz, you initially use the scenic Spree cycle path, passing rocky valleys, mills and places to stop for refreshments.
A detour to Doberschau, to the prehistoric castle rampart, the "Doberschauer Schanze", is worthwhile along the way and the Bohemian Bridge on the old Bautzen - Prague trade route is also worth a photo. Continue up the Spree to Großpostwitz and Eulowitz, where you use the cycle path along the B 96 for a while before turning off onto the former railroad line to Cunwalde. The village, which is 15 km long in total, is easy to experience on the railroad cycle path, and it is worth stopping at the Umgebindehauspark, which is right next to Germany's largest village church. The ascent to Czorneboh (sorb. misinterpreted as "Black God") begins in the district of Klipphausen.
After refreshments in the Begbaude and climbing the mountain lookout tower from 1850, the route descends north towards Bautzen via Wuischke, Rachlau and Mehltheuer. A significant part of Napoleon's Battle of Bautzen took place here in May 1813. The Bautzen Museum has more information about this.
