Kreuzbergloipe, 7.5 km

From here you can explore a diverse cross-country ski area on both sides of the Harzhochstraße. Please use the large parking lot on the left side for parking.

On the right side, you can walk to the Kaysereiche and back via the Gewitterplatz. Orient yourself to the overall map at the start, which is also located at the Taternplatz. You can also find it on our homepage at www.bad-grund.de under "Grundinchen informs" as a downloadable PDF. At the end of the parking lot in an easterly direction, you will find the connection to the Ibergloipe to the Hasenbergloipe, which leads to Wildemann. This in turn connects to the Bromberg-Loipe, which leads to the Sternplatz above Seesen.

The large Kreuzbergloipe (red) is a circular route with a length of 7.51 km and an elevation between 503 and 597 meters. The small loop (blue) is 5.8 km long with 93 meters of elevation gain. When there is enough snow, the trail is groomed with a double-track machine. It is of medium difficulty.

Downhill towards Bad Grund, the ski trail connects, allowing you to reach Bad Grund. It also serves as a starting point from Bad Grund. When there is enough snow, this trail is also groomed.

The Kreuzbergloipe is one of the 4 trails between Bad Grund, Wildemann, and Seesen with a total network of 27.8 km. The starting point for the four cross-country ski trails of medium difficulty is the Taternplatz (about 15 minutes from the Seesen motorway exit), located exactly between Bad Grund and Wildemann on the Harzhochstraße. The trails are located at an altitude between 450 and 597 m. To the west, the Kreuzberg-Loipe comes in two different lengths, the Iberg-Loipe connects in a northerly direction the Kreuzberg-Loipe with the Hasenberg-Loipe.

Together with municipalities in the West Harz and the districts of Goslar and Osterode am Harz, the Safety in Skiing Foundation (SIS) and the German Ski Association (DSV) have been working in recent years for a qualitative development of the trail network in the Harz region. The trails have been certified as DSV nordic active centers according to international criteria, signposted with a uniform system, and equipped with information boards.
