Cross-country ski trail at Ziegenberg

The track is very varied and runs over meadows and through forests, with easy to moderate inclines and descents, in several loops east of Buntenbock.
As an option, the running track can be extended by taking the connecting trail to Clausthal-Zellerfeld. This additional track is easy to run and mostly leads over magnificent mountain meadows. (Alternatively, the parking lot at the shooting range in Clausthal can also be chosen as the starting point)

DSV Premium Trail
This trail is a certified DSV Premium Trail.
Together with municipalities in the western Harz region and the districts of Goslar and Osterode am Harz, the Safety in Skiing Foundation (SIS) and the German Ski Association (DSV) have been working in recent years for a qualitative development of the trail network in the Harz Mountains. The trails have been certified as DSV nordic aktiv centers according to international criteria, signposted with a uniform system, and equipped with information boards.
