The first section of the route is similar to the Kuckuck cross-country ski trail up to Bramforst. From here, you run over some inclines and descents towards Hans-Peters-Hütte, Jagdkopf via the so-called Pastorenweg. At the end of this path, you sharply turn right towards Stöberhai. From here, the 2,500 m long descent back to Bramforst begins, and from the Dr.-Hampe-Hütte onwards, the return route again resembles the Kuckuck cross-country ski trail.
