Neckarschleifen-Steillagenrunden: Gemmrigheimer Steillagenrunde

Get to know the old cultural landscape on the Neckar with its steep wine terraces, orchards and the old town center of the winegrowing village of Gemmrigheim on this varied circular walk.

Thanks to its idyllic location on the Neckar, Gemmrigheim is rich in tradition and is particularly characterized by winegrowing. Steep wine terraces rise up into the sky right on the outskirts of the village.On the "Ketterschenweg" and in the "Ketterschen" steep slope, you can let your gaze wander over the Neckar valley, the dry stone walls and the village of Gemmrigheim. Once you reach the upper slope, the trail runs through flatter vineyards with orchards and the "Paradies" natural monument.Through a mosaic of vineyards, orchards and fields, you return to Gemmrigheim and climb the next vineyard. At the "Forstwüste" viewpoint, Gemmrigheim, wine terraces and the Neckar valley are once again at your feet.

Here you can take a break with a view of the vineyards. Back in the historic town center, St. John's Church, the half-timbered town hall and the two gate towers bear witness to an important past. Gemmrigheim's nationally renowned gastronomy is also looking forward to your visit.
