Schwalm statt Safari

Get up close and personal with the king of the animals in the Schwalm meadows or side by side with a stately lady elephant and her playful cub! In Schwalmstadt, life-size, photorealistic prints on aluminum Dibond panels are a real surprise. On the approx. 5.5 km long, completely asphalted circular trail, you can marvel at exotic and native animals by bike, on a balance bike, on inline skates or on foot in the Schwalm meadows. By scanning QR codes, visitors receive information about the animals, while the #ENTDECKESCHWALMSTADT app turns the walk into a 3D safari with a smartphone, where you can discover one of the five augmented reality animals. The children and young people also find out what the animals sound like. But beware: augmented reality brings the animals unusually close to the visitors.

Visiting the "Schwalm instead of Safari", scanning the QR codes and using the app is possible around the clock and free of charge.
