The venerable Cistercian monastery of Haydau sits enthroned in the Fulda Valley. Your relaxing walk begins here at the monastery church. After an idyllic path through the Fulda valley, you reach the Kapellenberg. A wide view rewards you for the short climb. In the village of Altmorschen, you will be enchanted by the charm of a half-timbered village.
At the Hotel Kloster Haydau, you can stop for a break and enjoy the beautiful view, coffee, cake and the view of the monastery.
Since October 2017, the signposted circular trail has been bringing visitors and locals closer to faith, exercise, nature and the beautiful village surroundings of Haydau Monastery.
Set off on the 5.9 km trail and enjoy your personal time-out. Large parts of the pilgrimage route are flat and well-surfaced, making it easy for young and old to complete in any weather.
