In the Uedem Hochwald, hikers will find a well-marked network of hiking trails. The trail is only marked in one direction!
Until the beginning of the 17th century, the Hochwald was a pure deciduous forest area, which was connected to the Reichswald near Kleve via small forests and heath areas. Due to various reforestation measures until the 19th century, pine stands occupied a large proportion of the area.
