Walk along the Upper Lusatian Umgebindehausstraße in Ebersbach-Neugersdorf; Route 4

Route 4, also designed as a circular path, starts on Hutungsberg at the site of the ice cellar in Neugersdorf and invites you to the upper part of the city. This place is also a testimony to industrialization and today a green place of recreation - the wide view from the "balcony of Neugersdorf" naturally entices you to climb a little higher to look around at the Lausitz and Bohemian Mountains from the Bismarck Tower.
Now it goes down near the area of the Jacobimarkt. Our interested guests learn about the background of probably the oldest and largest folk festival in the region, but after a short hike you already reach the next highlight, the North Sea-Baltic Sea watershed.
In addition to the beautiful residential streets with the quaint Umgebinde houses, the view repeatedly falls on the prominently visible landmark of Neugersdorf: the water tower. The tour showcases residential examples in often lovingly restored and cozy Umgebinde houses, but also the closeness to nature, the closer you get to the boundary with Leutersdorf and the Neugersdorf town forest. Finally, it goes back to Eiskellerberg.
