Katzensteg
Challenging hikers will get their money's worth on the day tour south of Scheidegg. Again and again, magnificent views of the glacier-formed Rothachtal valley and the Alps open up. On the steep descent to the Katzensteg footbridge over the Kesselbach stream and the walk over the airy steel bridge over the Röthenbach stream, you can feel for yourself how deeply the West Allgäuer Bäche have cut into the landscape.

Gletschertopf
The circular glacier pot near Neuhaus is well worth seeing. During the Ice Age, meltwater flowed through a crevasse into the depths here. With the help of millstones, the meltwater formed a hole several meters deep in the hard rock. It is also worth taking a look at two former mills: The Katzenmühle on the Katzenbach was built in 1509, while the Abler mühle dates back to 1409. Both mills were shut down over 100 years ago.
