Discover the region between Meldorf and St. Michaelisdonn: on this route you cycle through the - for northern German standards - hilly Geest landscape past picturesque windmills. In Schleswig-Holstein, more than 100 old wind giants still tower toward the sky as landmarks of their villages.
On this bike tour you will pass the "Fortuna" (Nordermühle) and the "Südermühle" in Meldorf as well as the Dutch windmill "Olga" in Windbergen along the Geestrand. Above the Geestrand stands the windmill "Edda", the landmark of St. Michaelisdonn, which is still in operation from time to time. Also the gallery holland mill "Ursula" in Barlt is still used as a grain mill. Through meadows and fields you reach the mill "Juliane" in Nordermeldorf.
