Lipperlandweg

Starting point is Lemgo's historic city center. Passing by Brake Castle, a moated castle of Weser Renaissance and today the seat of the Lippe Regional Association, as well as the former Walkenmühle, the path leads through the nature reserve of the Begaauen towards Dörentrup-Wendlinghausen. There lies the Innovation Center Dörentrup, which as NatourEnergyCenter makes the tension between nature and sustainable energy production tangible.

From Wendlinghausen Castle, built in the early 17th century in the style of Weser Renaissance, through the silence of the Blomensteiner forest, you reach Selbeck, a district of Barntrup. Along the high-altitude path between Barntrup and Blomberg, over the Beckerberg, passing by the shelter to the south towards Nelkenstadt Blomberg. The historic Blomberg city center, Blomberg Castle and above all the monastery church tell the history of Lippe's culture.

The path leads through the village of Siekholz to Schieder and the Schiedersee. Schieder Castle with its landscape park and the historic Linden Avenue form the center of the town. The path leads through the former rampart Alt Schieder, steeply up to the Kahlenberg Tower. A wonderful resting place is the shelter at the Kammmolchteich in the Schwalenberger Mörth nature reserve.

The "Stork Village" Elbrinxen, first mentioned in 1219 as Elmerinchusen, is home to a large colony of storks, and even in winter individual storks are cared for here.

Along the mill ditch of the Ilsenbach, up to the Distelalm above the district of Lügde-Henkenbrink, and then downhill you reach the late medieval monastery complex Falkenhagen. Across the idyllically located Silbersieksteich, passing through the Lügde districts of Hummersen and Köterberg, the destination approaches, the "landscape cinema" on the Köterberg, the highest elevation in Lippe at almost 500 m.
