In the smallest space, the grass moor forms an impressive ecological diversity and has been designated as a nature reserve since 1937 as a remnant of a formerly widespread dune and moor heath landscape. Along the approximately 5 kilometer long hiking trail, signs provide information on nature conservation and landscape history in the grass moor.
