Jungle tour in the lake district

A houseboat and lots of adventures on the water for the crew: green canyons and wide lakes, cosy anchorages and picturesque places as well as teamwork when locking the locks and preparing meals together on board.

The holiday experience for friendly families and couples in the Mecklenburg and Brandenburg Lake District starts at the Priepert marina. First of all, they head up the Havel to the large Priepert lake, where they are sure to find a cosy anchorage for the first night. The next morning, the journey continues northwards, as a visit to the fishing farm in Ahrensberg is a must on this houseboat tour.

Freshly fortified, the crew then cruises downstream - to the water town of Fürstenberg/Havel, and then on across the mighty Stolpsee lake to the Christmas town of Himmelpfort.

There's so much to see and marvel at! The house where Father Christmas answers his post every year, a real chocolaterie and a fragrant monastery herb garden make the country walk an experience.

Back on board, the anticipation of the scenic highlight of this tour grows: because now we are travelling along the meandering Woblitz between densely wooded banks to Lychen in the Uckermark. A journey straight out of a picture book!
From the Lychen jetty, you can explore Lychen's lakes and streams, which are closed to motorised boats, in canoes or SUPs. And then it's almost time to say goodbye, but luckily the impressive "jungle trip" awaits: on the last day of the trip, the journey takes you back across the Woblitz to the harbour of departure.

Water profile: The tour is characterised by rivers and canals as well as individual sections across wide lakes.

Nautical information: 3 locks are on the route (Steinhavelmühle, Fürstenberg and Himmelpfort) and are each passed twice.

Fuelling stations: There is a boat refuelling station in the Priepert marina.

This tour was tested with a 12.8 metre long Kormoran from Kuhnle-Tours, on which 7 beds are available in 3 sleeping cabins (each with its own bathroom).
