Mit der Bahn in die Berge: Von Geitau über den Segelflugplatz nach Osterhofen

For a small hamlet, Geitau has a lot to offer: There is the over 500-year-old, carefully renovated Hasenöhrl Hof, which opens its doors on Sundays (all day). Or the Rote Wand with its beautiful beer garden, where the young chef and junior chef serves cuisine that not only the people of Schliersee come here for.

And there is the gliding area of the Schliersee air sports club. The wide, open field spreads out amidst the high peaks: Rotwand, Aiplspitz, Miesing and, of course, the imposing Wendelstein, which is always in view. You also switch to its side after the section along the Leitzach.

On the Osterhof side, just before the Wendelsteinbahn and the train station, you can stop by the Kramerin flower café (note opening times). In addition to flowers and plants, you can also find regional products here - and of course coffee and homemade cakes.

TIP: You can also hike through the special landscape in winter - or set off on the cross-country ski trail.
