Panoramaweg Sankt Wendeler Land Etappe 6

The Sankt Wendeler Land panoramic trail offers pure enjoyment of the landscape and nature for almost 127 kilometers. Hikers experience a varied low mountain range landscape with a charming alternation of wooded hills and open cultural landscape and enjoy impressive viewpoints along the way.

The Panorama Trail is divided into 6 stages.

Stage 6 (Marpingen - St. Wendel, approx. 13.5 km)

This stage starts at the Marienverehrungsstätte in Härtelwald. Via the Peterhof and the Keltenhof, you come to the Rhine Road, a former Roman road that led from Metz to Trier. Follow this road for a short distance and walk through the Leienwald forest, enjoying wonderful natural landscapes in the direction of Winterbach. Cross the road at Harschberger Hof and from there follow the Wendelinuspark circular trail with golf course. The last section of the hiking trail leads through Alsfassen and on to St. Wendel in the pedestrian zone, where the Sankt Wendeler Land panoramic trail ends and begins. Right in the city center, you can visit the Wendelinus basilica after a strenuous day or enjoy the beautiful ambience of the old town in one of the street cafés.
