Woodland path in Hörste/Stapelage

Would you like to learn more about the history of our local forest? Then take a journey through time along the approximately 11 km long hiking trail that leads through gorges and over ridges of the Teutoburg Forest. Special attention is paid to the beech forest with its typical plant and animal species. But also the currently still dominated by conifers pasture forests in the Senne with their Scottish Highland cattle and Exmoor ponies are on the program. An impression of how the formerly wide-open Senne once appeared is provided by the Stapellage shooting range.
