The old railway (construction site) in Willebadessen

Directly at the entrance to the parking lot on the left, the narrow path leads to the new educational trail to the NATURAL construction site "Old Railway". It takes you to the places of the events around the tunnel construction from 170 years ago. Here you can go on a search for relics of the work that was not completed at that time due to lack of money on enchanting paths. Impressive are the former tunnel entrances with a length of 200 m and a depth of 20 m that are still recognizable today. The western cut is flooded and has developed into a particularly valuable biotope. The journey continues following the A1 past the large ponds of Gut Schönthals on forest paths back to the parking lot.
