Waldmuseumsweg

The starting point of this hiking trail is the village square in Rimbach. Together with the Ri2 and Ri13 hiking trails, we are led in the direction of Lichteneck. Once in the forest, the route takes you comfortably around the Schlossberg, where you will find the Lichtenegg ruins with a viewing tower at the summit. After leaving the forest, the markings point us towards Madersdorf. Here we have to cross the main road, where special care is required. Once we reach the beautiful group of tombstones erected by the Madersdorf village community, the path branches off into the forest again. An almost flat forest path leads us past crossroads and historic boundary stones to the edge of the forest. Another highlight of this section is the magnificent view to the west of the surrounding mountain landscape. We continue through the forest. We reach Strasshof, a single farmstead in a wonderful location with a view of the Hohenbogen. After approx. 300 m, we must not miss the turn-off to the left into the forest. We soon meet the As1 hiking trail, which we continue to follow to the right. Passing ponds, we come to Enklarn, where there is a chapel on the right-hand side of the path, slightly off to the side in the meadow. We follow the little-used road towards Steinbruchsee with its forest inn, the destination of this hiking trail.
