Hohenbogen - Diensthütte

From the fire station, we head north, leaving the school on the left, along a meadow path and further along an asphalt road, we reach the bridge at the Hohenwarther Mühle mill and cross it. Now we follow the road to Thening and cross the village straight ahead until we reach a left-hand bend. After 100 meters, the markings point us to the right. Once we reach the forest, the steepest part of the hike awaits us. The first rest area, Seelenbrunnen, is halfway along the trail. Now we briefly follow the Ri3 markings to the left, but after a few meters we leave them again to the right and follow the Ho7 markings to the service hut at Hohenbogen (refreshment stop). From the service hut, we have the opportunity to reach the Bavarian Broadcasting Tower in a 3⁄4 hour hike. At the broadcasting tower (Burgstall), we have a wonderful view of the Further Valley and the Czech Republic.
