Künischer Grenzweg

From the tourist information office, turn right down Arberstraße for around 300m until the road "Im Moos" branches off to the left. After about 100m at the signpost tree in "Moos", follow the markings uphill past the golf course until you reach the Panoramaweg (La2). There, a road branches off to the right and following the signs, past wayside shrines and field crosses, you reach the edge of the forest via a scenic field path. Here you come to a forest road, which you stay on until it ends. This is followed by a challenging ascent on a stony forest path. When the forest clears (signpost / signpost tree), the Großer Osser is already in sight. Now the ascent continues past the Lam mountain rescue hut over the rocky summit ridge to the Großer Osser (1293m). After a stop at the Osserschutzhaus (right on the border), the descent is much easier. Back down at the forest clearing (signpost / signpost tree), you can already see the Künische Kapelle, built in 1985/86 by the Lam forest association section as a symbol of the bond between Bavaria and Bohemia. From the signpost tree, follow the La1 markings on the forest road downhill past the Teufelstritt (rock with carved signs) to the Sattel hiking parking lot. Through the high forest downhill you reach the Maria Hilf mountain chapel. Follow an old, easy path downhill towards Lam, past a group of death boards at the edge of the forest. Finally, you return to the starting point via Lambacher Straße. This tour can also be walked in the opposite direction.
