The circular trail leads from the large parking lot in Lauenstein through the closed forest uphill to the Ratzenberg. From here, it is possible to visit the "Thüringer Warte" observation tower. After the Köchinnengrab, the fairytale trail crosses typical meadows and fields and leads downhill on the former Röhrensteig trail through the shady forest back to the starting point.
At the stations, boards point out legends of the region and fairytale stories about the tree species. You will find our forest gnome along the way, who will accompany you and guide you from fairy tale to fairy tale.
Sturdy footwear is required. We do not recommend walking with baby carriages due to the narrow forest paths in places.
