Etappe 4, Nordschleife, Heilige Landschaft Pfaffenwinkel - Von Herrsching über Andechs nach Pähl

Safety instructions: In the golf area just before Pähl you should stay on the paths.

Equipment: Sturdy shoes, clothing suitable for the weather, possibly a rucksack with provisions.

Way description: We start our tour on the beach promenade in Herrsching and initially follow Seestraße in an easterly direction. We follow the signs towards Andechs and walk along the Kienbach stream through the beautiful Kiental valley until shortly before the village of Erling. There the path branches off sharply to the left and finally leads us to Andechs Monastery. From the monastery, we head south along the edge of the forest. We follow the signs and leave the village heading south, cross the main road and a parking lot and finally reach the forest. From here, we alternate between forest, wide meadows and wonderful views of Lake Ammersee. Again and again we have Dießen with the famous Marienmünster on the other side of the lake in view. The route continues with plenty of variety. A short detour through the forest takes us to the Hartkapelle chapel. Shortly afterwards, we reach Gut Kerschlach, which invites us to take another long break. From here, we head west and follow the signs to Pähl. We cross the Hohenpähl golf course with its beautiful old trees and pass the Hochschloss castle before reaching the town center.
