Way description:

We start our tour at the St. Johann church and initially walk in a northerly direction along a path to Holzerstraße. Through the so-called Unterdorf we come to Bachstraße and walk along the stream for a while, through a railroad underpass and further along the Michelsbach stream. A detour to the Protestant Friedenskirche church is recommended here. Continue north along Thalackerstraße and then uphill via Schweiber to St. Michael's Chapel. From here, continue west on the asphalt road. After Oberbuchau, we leave the road straight ahead onto a forest path and follow the signs to Hoher Peißenberg. As we emerge from the forest, we can already make out the television tower, which now serves as our orientation. Once we have passed this, we continue in an easterly direction to the pilgrimage church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, which marks the start and finish of the long-distance hiking trail.
