The tour starts at the train station in Starnberg and leads south along the lakeshore. Past Berg Castle and the Votive Chapel, the route leads to Allmannshausen. There it goes uphill away from the lake. The trail leads back north via Aufkirchen and Farchach. You return via Manthal and reach Lake Starnberg again at Kempfenhausen.
The recreational area there is ideal for swimming and on beautiful summer evenings you can enjoy a wonderful sunset.
This route is a smaller version of the "Between luxury and rural comfort" cycle route.
