Erlebnis Pressecker Knock (KU 6)

Route description: Medium-difficulty leisure tour for the whole family with short climbs. At an altitude of almost 700 m above sea level and in an impressive Franconian Forest landscape, the cycle tour around the Pressecker Knock takes you through quaint farming villages with typical slate cladding, rich half-timbered houses and proverbial hospitality. You can extend the tour with a detour to Köstenhof. The KU 6 circular cycle route runs through the Franconian Forest Nature Park.

Village passages: Presseck, Trottenreuth, Schlackenreuth, Rützenreuth, Wahl, Heinersreuth, Elbersreuth, Köstenberg, Köstenhof.

Distances: Presseck - Enchenreuth/Wahl approx. 7 km, Enchenreuth/Wahl - Trottenreuth - Presseck approx. 7 km, the detour route to Köstenhof (there and back) approx. 5 km.

Special features/sights: Presseck: parish church with late medieval frescoes, Pressecker Knock (690 m above sea level); Heinersreuth: Wildensteiner Schlösschen castle.

Connecting routes: A connection to the supra-regional EUREGIO EGRENSIS long-distance cycle route (EER) can be recommended from the center of Presseck (town hall). From Enchenreuth/Wahl, the KU 5 circular cycle route "Around the Rehbach Valley with its mills" can be reached. On the "EER" you can reach the wild and romantic Steinach Valley in a southerly direction.
