Ums Rehbachtal mit seinen Mühlen (KU 5)

Route description: This short but challenging cycle tour leads around the romantic Rehbach valley with its old mills from Grafengehaig on low-traffic roads via Gösmes (Hof district) and Grünlas through small slate-roofed Franconian Forest villages back to the starting point. The KU 5 circular cycle route runs through the Franconian Forest Nature Park. Local signposting: KU 5

Passages through: Grafengehaig, Eppenreuth, Gösmes, Walberngrün, Hüttenbach, Weißenstein, Grünlas, Großrehmühle.

Distances: Grafengehaig - Gösmes approx. 6.5 km, Gösmes - Grafengehaig approx. 7.5 km.

Special features & attractions: Grafengehaig: Medieval Gothic fortified church of the Holy Spirit. A special feature for hikers and mountain bikers is the approx. 18 km long mill hiking trail through the deeply incised Rehbach valley.

Connecting routes: There is a connection to the supra-regional Euregio Egrensis long-distance cycle route from Steinachtal via Seifersreuth to Grafengehaig. The KU 6 "Pressecker Knock Experience" circular cycle route can be reached from Gösmes via Enchenreuth.
