Von Steinwiesen zur Hubertushöhe (KC 10)*

Start & finish: Parking lot at Tourismushaus Oberes Rodachtal, Kronacher Str. 75, 96349 Steinwiesen

Tour route: Steinwiesen (Upper Rodachtal tourist information office), Leitschmühle, Hubertushöhe, Ködeltalsperre reservoir, Ködeltalsperre main dam, Steinwiesen (*)

Tour description: The tour starts from the parking lot at the Oberes Rodachtal tourist information office at the southern entrance to Steinwiesen, crossing the local road into the Leitschtal valley to Leitschmühle. From here, the long ascent (approx. 4.5 km/180 vertical meters) takes place on gravel forest paths through the forest up to Hubertushöhe. Opposite the inn, the route descends rapidly to the forebay of the Ködel dam. The asphalted, undulating circular route takes you either left or right to the main dam of the drinking water reservoir. Flat cycle paths lead from Mauthaus back to Steinwiesen. (*)
