We did this magnificent hike on 27/05/2025 (13,993 steps)
Signposting in both directions with No. 52. Do take a map and/or app/GPS with you, as the markings are not present everywhere.
Circular hike in the southwest of Schankweiler. The trail mostly leads through forests, over the Raukendell and along the Schankweiler Klause.
It is an ideal summer hike. It primarily follows wide forest paths with occasional views of the beautiful surroundings. One truly moves from one beautiful viewpoint to another.
The climb to the Klause is a sporty highlight of the route. The Schankweiler Klause is the historical highlight.
This hike is one you must do if you are staying near Schankweiler!
