Description by the author

The Ruwer-Hochwald-Radweg is a famous cyclable trail. It links the Moselle-valley and the Hunsrück from Trier to Hermeskeil in Rhineland-Palatinate. The length is about 48 km and completely car free. It follows the old railroad track.
