Eichholzmaar and volcano garden near Steffeln

Beautiful route largely on the geopath "Maare en Vulkane" between Steffeln and Duppach. The last part of the geopath leads to the districts of Auel and Steffeln, which appeals to us personally. Our route turns rather to the left and continues to follow small country roads until we return to the Volcano Garden.
Beautiful route along the volcanic past. From the didactic "volcanic gardens" through wide landscapes to the Eichholzmaar, the smallest and northernmost crater lake in the Eifel. Continue along the rivers Gussbach and Ogsbach and the sources of the Steffelner Drees and Aueler Drees, again through beautiful expanses to the volcanic gardens.
Easy walk that requires good footwear, mostly on dirt roads.
Parking at the volcano garden = already before the entrance in Steffeln on the right side, pay attention to this, as you will pass quickly.
