Allgäu Trinity: Oberjoch, Riedbergpass and Rohrmoostal

This demanding tour through the Allgäu includes everything the cyclist's heart desires. Short, steep ramps, smooth climbs and flat passages along the river valleys. All this in a diverse landscape with green mountain meadows, hilly pre-Alps and high mountains. Much of the route leads via low-traffic to -free side roads or farm roads. On the busy roads lead mostly parallel well-developed bike paths. With the Oberjoch and Riedbergpass the two most striking passes of the Allgäu are on the program. On the car-free road through the Rohrmosstal we can enjoy the fantastic landscape undisturbed. A must for holidaymakers and locals.

Tips from the author:

- Even if the Riedberg Pass can not compete with the big Alpine passes, you should not underestimate it. Gradients of up to 16% are waiting especially in the lower part. With a flatland translation of 39/26 you could no longer speak of loose pedaling.

- In the Rohrmoostal can hold long snow. There is no guarantee to pass this route in May.
