Euregio hike nr 5 Circular route on the White Road

The Witte Weg is a beautiful route through the horse landscape between Kerkrade and Aachen. This official walking route is fully marked with special white markings. A route description is not available, but a nice brochure can be downloaded here. It is not a circular route, but it is marked in 2 directions with the white steps, horses' hooves, information pillars and road signs, white ribbons on lampposts and particularly beautiful white birches and, depending on the season, white daffodils and wild garlic.

Although this route is a circular route, it does not lead to the terminus at Lousberg in Aachen, but to the cloth factory. From this point on, there will be no signage or should NOT be followed. The way back is your own design and you can encounter the beaver in its habitat.

Go on excursions along the way to places of interest or places of interest. There is a lot to see in Berensberg and the Blue Stone and the Paulinenhof are the most famous. For more impressions, I also refer to this website or for route information on the map. See here for more information.
