Fur is a Danish island in the Limfjord—just north of the Salling peninsula with 767 inhabitants . The biggest town on the island is Nederby with 565 inhabitants . The island has ferry link over Fur Strait from Branden on the Salling side. Fur belongs to Skive Municipality and lies in the Central Denmark Region. It is located at 56°49′N 09°01′E.
