The passage grave Grønhøj from Rugballe is a well-restored passage grave located west of Horsens and southwest of Bygholm Lake in Jutland, Denmark. The megalithic tomb dates back to the Neolithic period around 3500–2800 BC and is a megalithic structure of the Funnel Beaker culture. The passage grave is a construction form of Neolithic megalithic structures, consisting of a chamber and a laterally offset passage. This form is primarily found in Denmark, Germany, and Scandinavia, as well as sporadically in France and the Netherlands. Neolithic monuments are expressions of the culture and ideology of Neolithic societies. Their emergence and function are regarded as characteristics of social development.
