Wøldikes Orchard – A green oasis in Øster Hornum

The Apple Garden is a local green oasis where visitors can enjoy the sight of old apple varieties, listen to the birds sing, and feel the tranquility settle in. The garden is designed according to old Danish fruit traditions. Here, apple trees of various sorts grow, and in late summer and autumn, one can experience the scent of ripe fruits and see bees and butterflies dance among the flowers. Wøldike's Apple Garden is an obvious stop on a hike in the area – for example, as part of the Hærvejen, Botaniksporet, or Landbrugssporet, which both lead through Øster Hornum's varied landscape. The garden is open to visitors, and information boards have been set up to tell about the garden's history, the apple varieties, and the local nature.
