There is a large green space and a nice bonfire house on the site.

There are 2 shelters for 10-12 sleeping places. In the thicket behind the area runs the small stream "Lilleå". The area is owned by Simmelkær Citizens' Association and may be used by anyone. There is a multipurpose toilet. There is a drinking water station at the shelters. Not handicap-friendly.
